I'm absolutely terrible at keeping up with this journal thing. Anyway, since we've last spoken, my life has only gotten stranger. Although this is almost to be expected, it some times takes me by surprise. Let's see. I turned 18, played more D&D, went crazy with anxiety, took medication for that, went crazy because of the meds, stopped taking them, got sane again, got behind in a computer class, started DMing a D&D game, got engaged... You know, stuff like that. Oh, I should probably explain that last one. My awesome boyfriend (now fiance) proposed to me on Wednesday. So I'm engaged. Which means that I'm going to get married. Holy cow. Life is interesting.
Anyway... D&D. As well as the game with Nick and Sarai, I'm also DMing a game for my fiance and another of my friends during lunch at my college. It's somewhat of an odd game, being that it's not the most serious game, and I let my players get away with a lot of crazy stuff. For example: I started the game rather unprepared--I figured that the first game I'd just play the standard cliche and have them meet in a tavern. I thought that they'd spend the whole of the time introducing themselves, hearing my fourth wall joke, and maybe get the plot hook I had in mind. Within ten minutes, my Amazing Fiance's Tiefling rogue had stolen the tavern. With two really, really good bluff roles (a 19 and a natural 20) he managed to convince the tavern owner that he was the leader of the Plundering Legions Of Tarmic--the bandit group that everyone in the town was afraid of. Since this is the goofy game, I decided just to roll with it, and so now he owns a tavern (which basically helped to provide me with the plot of the game).
Our Player Characters are:
The aforementioned Tiefling Rogue, played by my Amazing Fiance, who has thus far stolen a bar and convinced people that he is the heirophant of two different gods.
Rocky ("So named for the rocks in his head"), a human paladin with an intelligence score of 8, also played by my Amazing Fiance). He was raised by goblins (but philosophical goblins), so he has an interesting (and sometimes oddly wise) view on life.
And our last PC, a shapeshifting rogue played by my friend Dagger. He flirts with everyone--none of my NPCs are safe

. We're still developing his plot and working on getting epic crazy awesome moments for him, but I (and my Fiance, because we sort of bounce ideas off each other) have some ideas.
In addition, we have an interesting cast of NPCs
In order to round out the party, I have an NPC halfling cleric named mouse, who is shy, adorable, and has a stutter. She was introduced to our party by handing out religious pamphlets.
We also have Adara, a tiefling paladin who's back story may or may not (mwahahaha) tie into our infamous tiefling rogue's. She's the same Adara I drew a while back, although she has even more of a back story, and even more plot. She's actually a really interesting NPC.
There were also the Lawful Good Kobold Paladins that the party conned (but didn't hurt, which made me very happy)... And loads more. It's an interesting game that probably has a vaguely Discworld-esque tone to it.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful year

BTW, I have somehow been talked into wearing both fairy wings and my tail/ear set to school on Wednesday. Small wings this time though so I don't bump into stuff all the time.
I will see you then!
Howdy. I'm another one of "them". I thought I'd swing by to see your gallery.

Just here to say keep up the good work, and that you should take efforts to fine-tune your work - I certainly am with mine.
Sorry for not having any truly "constructive" criticism, but as far as I can tell, our qualities of work is similar.
*watches, in anticipation of such improvements*
